How Do I Get Columbia County Criminal Records?

Parties who wish to carry out a criminal history record check on themselves will be required to submit a request own record form, provide their fingerprints and pay a fee of $33, while parties who wish to carry out a criminal history record check on another individual will be required to submit a request form and pay a fee of $10 per requested record.

How Do I Find Columbia County Sex Offender Information?

In accordance with Oregon State Laws 163A, the Oregon State Police maintains and regularly updates an online sex offender registry which lists all level 3 sex offenders registered in the state of Oregon. Through this registry, members of the public can search for registered sex offenders residing in Columbia County by name or address. Interested parties who wish to obtain information on sex offenders not listed in the registry may do so by contacting the OSP’s Sex Offender Registration Unit via email. How Do I Visit An Inmate In Columbia County Jail?

The Columbia County jail typically houses detainees awaiting trial or sentencing and inmates convicted of misdemeanor offenses with sentences less than a year. Inmates are required to schedule all public visits with parties interested in visiting them and are allowed a maximum of 2 thirty-minute visits within a seven day period, with visitors limited to a combination of either 1 adult, 2 adults, 1 adult, and 1 child, 1 adult and 2 children or 2 adults and 1 child. Inmates will be required to establish a visiting list of not more than 5 individuals and provide the date of birth, first, middle and last name of each listed individual as well as their relation to the individual and the names of any children that may be in the company of a parent or guardian. Only individuals listed on an inmate’s approved list will be allowed to visit. Visitors are advised to show up at least 10 minutes before the approved visitation time and are required to follow all jail visitors’ rules which include conducting themselves in an orderly manner and subjecting themselves to a search by county jail officials. Visitors who violate the visitation rules may have their visit terminated and their visiting privileges suspended or revoked.

It should be noted that daily visitation schedules in the Columbia County Jail are cell-specific. In addition to this, inmates not yet assigned to a housing unit, inmates’ houses in the county jail’s pre-classification unit, and inmates serving a sentence of a maximum of 72 hours are not allowed public visitation.

Audio recordings cost $10 per CD and 25 cents per page for paper audio logs with a $5 certification fee for each CD and a $2 shipping and handling fee for mailed copies of up to 3 CDs.

Copies of case files cost 25 cents per page for hard copies, $3 per request for electronic copies with an additional 20 cents per page if the requested file has not been previously scanned, $2 for the first page of faxed copies and $1 for each additional page, $5 per document for certified copies plus 25 cents per page and $10 per document for exemplified copies plus 25 cents per page.

Requestors are advised to include a functioning phone number when completing the forms through which they can be contacted to verify and process their requests.

What are Columbia County Vital Records?

Columbia County vital records refer that to documents that contain information on all vital events that occur in Columbia County. These vital events, which include births, marriages, divorces, registered domestic partnerships, dissolution of registered domestic partnerships, and deaths are permanently recorded and registered in the state of Oregon by the Oregon Health Authority, which also maintains and issues copies of these records to eligible individuals through its Vital Records office. Where and How to Get Columbia County Birth Records

The Oregon Vital Records Office issues copies of birth records for births that occurred in Oregon. Access to these records is restricted for a period of 100 years beginning from the date on the record and copies of these records may only be obtained by the registrant named on the record who is at least 15 years old, the registrant’s immediate family including a domestic partner and current step-parent for registrants below the age of 18, a legal representative of the registrant and government agency carrying out official duties.

Where and How to Get Columbia County Death Records

Copies of Columbia County death records may be obtained from the Oregon vital Records Office. These records are considered restricted records and for a period of 50 years beginning from the date on the record, access to them is limited to the decedent’s immediate family including a domestic partner who is registered by the state of Oregon, a legal representative and a government agency acting in the conduct of its official duties.

To obtain copies of these records, eligible parties can contact the Oregon Vital Records Office in person between the hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mondays to Fridays. Alternatively, these parties can also submit a completed Oregon Death Record Order Form via mail to:
